‘Islam, Muslims and Journalism’ is the first guide for European journalists aimed at guiding and solving possible doubts that may arise in their coverage of news related to Muslim communities in a joint commitment to a more inclusive and plural journalism as plural and diverse are our societies.
This work is an initiative of the Al Fanar Foundation that has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMED); Collectif Contre l’Islamophobie en Belgique (CCIB); Media Diversity Institute; NOOR Foundation; European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) and the Spanish Observatory of Racism and Xenophobia (OBERAXE). The idea has been co-financed by IEMed within the framework of the project Observatory of Islamophobia in the Media, and by the Programme Rights, Equality and Citizenship of the European Union 2014-2020, within the project Stop-Islamophobia.
