The Spanish digital weekly newspaper Contexto y Acci\u00f3n <\/a>published last October 29 an interview to the philosopher and essayist Santiago Alba Rico, who just published the essay: Islamofobia. Nosotros, los otros, el miedo<\/a> (Islamophobia. We, the others, the fear<\/em>). In this book, the philosopher offers a critical and in depth analysis of this phenomenon, offering facts and data on its construction. His goal is to alert of the danger we are facing.<\/p>\n

According to the philosopher, it is very important to think about this danger which is very real and that is having many destructive effects in political and institutional terms, as well as anthropological.<\/p>\n

Throughout the interview, he explains how the answer to jihadism and its consequences, regarding the islamophobia it can create, can be more dangerous than radical Islam. In order to do so, he describes the dangers islamophobia is hiding, analyzing specific cases of Spain and Europe, of Daesh and of the refugee crisis.<\/p>\n
