Although this couple, married for 65 years, has been lucky enough of staying together after fleeing their home, their lives have experienced a dramatic turn since the war erupted: leaving their homes, loosing touch with their children, living in poverty\u2026. Their lives reflect all the difficulties that refugees have to face.<\/p>\n<p>These stories reaffirm our commitment to support asylum policies and to press the European governments so that they comply with their commitment of accepting the refugee population.
