\"Dalilah\"<\/a>Dalilah Muhammad, 26, won gold in the women\u2019s 400m hurdles on day 13 of the Rio Olympics. She has recorded\u00a0three of the five best times<\/a>\u00a0in the world this year. She\u2019s from Jamaica, Queens, in New York, and in an interview with\u00a0news website NY1<\/a>\u00a0her parents Nadirah and Askia Muhammad said their daughter\u2019s Muslim faith, discipline, and talent had taken her all the way to Rio.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Majlinda Kelmendi, Kosovo, judo: Gold<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\"Majlinda\"<\/a>The 25-year-old\u00a0made history<\/a>\u00a0by becoming the first athlete from Kosovo to win an Olympic medal, competing in the final of the women\u2019s 52kg judo. The gold medal adds to Kelmendi\u2019s impressive collection of two world titles and three European crown, all of which she\u2019s won since 2013. \u201cTo be honest, I came here for the gold medal, but it\u2019s crazy,\u201d she said after her Rio success. \u201cI\u2019m so happy for me, for my coach, for all of my country.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maria Stadnik, Azerbaijan, wrestling: Silver<\/h3>\n

In the women\u2019s freestyle 48kg event,\u00a0Maria Stadnik<\/a>, 28, won her nation a silver medal.<\/p>\n

Zhazira Zhapparkul, Kazakhstan, weightlifting: Silver<\/h3>\n

\"Zhafira\"<\/a>In the women\u2019s 69kg final event, 22 year-old\u00a0Zhazira<\/a>\u00a0picked up a silver medal. After she won,\u00a0her father, Abdrakhman Kudaikulov, told<\/a>\u00a0reporters she would make gold in Tokyo. He added: \u201cWe are ecstatic that she won! She is not only our daughter now, but the daughter of the entire nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ibtihaj Muhammad, USA, fencing: Bronze<\/h3>\n

\"Ibtihaj\"<\/a>Ibtihaj Muhammad<\/a>, 30, won a bronze medal in the team sabre event.<\/p>\n

\"Sara\"<\/a>The 18-year-old Egyptian athlete picked up a bronze medal after competing in the women\u2019s 69kg Group A weightlifting contest \u2013 lifting a combined weight of 255kg. Ahmed is the\u00a0first Arab woman<\/a>\u00a0to win an Olympic weightlifting medal and the first Egyptian woman to win an Olympic medal.<\/p>\n

Kimia Alizadeh Zenoorin, Iran, taekwondo: Bronze<\/h3>\n

\"Kimia\"<\/a>Competing in the -57kg category in taekwondo, Alizadeh\u00a0picked up a bronze<\/a>medal, making the 18-year old the first Iranian woman to win an Olympic medal. \u201cI am so happy for Iranian girls,\u201d\u00a0she said<\/a>, \u201cbecause it is the first medal and I hope at the next Olympics we will get a gold.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hedaya Wahba, Egypt, taekwondo: Bronze<\/h3>\n

\"Hedaya\"<\/a>In the other bronze-medal semi-final in the -57kg category, Wahba, 23, won Egypt\u2019s third medal of the games, only the second-ever won by an Egyptian woman. On the final day of the Olympics, more Egyptian women than men had won medals in Rio.<\/p>\n

Ines Boubakri, Tunisia, fencing: Bronze<\/h3>\n

The 27-year-old said when she won: \u201cThis medal, it\u2019s historic for Tunisia. It\u2019s incredible.
