Although this couple, married for 65 years, has been lucky enough of staying together after fleeing their home, their lives have experienced a dramatic turn since the war erupted: leaving their homes, loosing touch with their children, living in poverty…. Their lives reflect all the difficulties that refugees have to face. These stories reaffirm our commitment to support asylum policies and to press the European governments so that they comply with their commitment of accepting the refugee population. We need to do our best to support this humanitarian tragedy!
